In what is sure to spark a truck-load of controversy, television personality “Dr.” Phil McGraw is scheduled to film an episode of his daytime talk show later this week with the topic being something related to gaming. While the show was originally rumored to be about violence in games, the latest information hints towards addiction to online gaming. Either way he goes, the possibility exists that he could anger a lot of gamers. Love him or hate him, that doesn’t change the fact that a ton of people watch his show and listen to what Dr. Phil has to say.

In the end, time will only tell how Dr. Phil handles this topic. At the very least, this news gives me a reason to TiVo an episode of Dr. Phil for the first time in my life.
