Smash Bros. site updates with Pokémon Trainer

Argue all you want. It’s pretty much Ash Ketchum, from Pallet Town!

Officially, though, it’s just a “Pokémon Trainer” claiming a new spot on the character roster for Super Smash Bros. Brawl. He doesn’t fight directly on the field, however. Instead, Charizard, Ivysaur (I guess Ash’s Bulbasaur evolved), and Squirtle will be forgoing the Pokéball items to be at Ash’s side when he needs them. Ash stands off in the distance, switching out among the three Pokémon and giving them battle commands. You control whichever of the three Pokémon you choose to put on the field, essentially giving you three movesets in a single character.

I wish it was Ash Ketchum, but I guess he’s never been in a Nintendo game, officially :-(
