Get Metroid Prime 3: Corruption for $30 (if you’re lucky)

070813prime301.jpgA seemingly typographical error on Target’s website lists Metroid Prime 3: Corruption (Wii) and Halo 3 (360) as $29.99 on the Flash image banner. The individual page listings for these games list them at their actual $49.99 and $59.99, respectively, leading many to initially believe that it was simply the pre-order downpayment that is $29.99.

Sure enough, however, some (though not all) people were able to call their Target stores and honor the online mistake, effectively scoring themselves a reserved copy of Metroid Prime 3: Corruption for a total price of $29.99 before tax. Not a bad break. At all.

If you’re looking to get this game later this month, I suggest you call Target up, make sure you get one of the nicer sounding ladies on the line who are reportedly the ones more likely to honor the $29.99 price, and score yourself a sweet sale on what will undoubtedly be an amazing game. If you don’t get the discounted price, well, at least you’ll still be getting the game.

Thanks to everyone that bombarded my inbox about this. Appreciate it.

Totally not fair. That’s all I can say.

I wasn’t one of the lucky ones. I was told that the people who were able to get it for $29.99 would be receiving an email from Target informing them of the misprint, and giving them the option to either cancel their order, or pay the full price for it.
