The sequel will include new recipes, twice as many minigames, and a multiplayer mode featuring a head to head cook off. Managing Director Ian Howe of 505 games revealed the following in a press release,

 ”Following on from the phenomenal success of Cooking Mama, we’re thrilled to be bringing Cooking Mama 2 to Europe, Cooking Mama delivered a truly original IP and Cooking Mama 2 promises to build on its success.

I was curious about the first Cooking Mama and I had planned on buying it at one point, but I guess I ended up buying another game instead. Anyways, as Mr. Howe said, no not Gordie, the game is scheduled for release only in Europe on the Wii and DS platforms around 2008.
