I love Mondays. We go from Friday’s megaton announcement of The Subspace Emissary, to an item that Sakurai admits as to having “absolutely no effect on characters…but it’s pretty fun.”
Yes folks, I guess that pretty much sums up the smoke ball. Pointless, but fun because of all the fabulous colors. I guess the smoke might have some use, aside from recreating a fireworks display from the wide array of legal fireworks sold in Illinois (smoke bombs and sparklers). Apparently, your opponent will be unable to see what you are doing if you are behind a thick enough cloud of smoke. Exciting.
