Smash Bros. site updates with Castle Siege

Two days of August. Two days of Fire Emblem. Yesterday we saw our first glimpse of newcomer Ike. Today, we go into battle in the Fire Emblem universe.

I am ashamed to say that I have yet to play a single minute of Fire Emblem, but fortunately for this post, today’s stage isn’t set in any particular game in the series.

Castle Siege looks to be one of the more exciting stages revealed thus far. Not only is the castle under constant attack during the battle, but everybody falls into the castle after the roof collapses. After a short while of battling inside the castle, that floor collapses, which causes everybody to fall deep into the underground.

What’s the underground like? We have no idea. I guess that’s an update for another day.

Wow! I LOVE this stage! I am really digging the Fire Emblem stuff.

The more updates I see, the more I am twitching to have Brawl in my hands.

Actually, while the site comments that there are many castles like these in the Fire Emblem games (which there are), those particular flags resemble those of Dolua Castle, from Fire Emblem: Dark Dragon and Sword of Light and Fire Emblem: Mystery of the Emblem (the only two games of the total ten with Marth in them).
