I guess it’s a hot day for retro games making their way to the DS. According to Famitsu (again), a remake of the 1987 NES classic, Super Dodge Ball, will be heading to the DS.
The original game had you traveling the world to toss balls at the natives of Iceland, China, and even Kenya, so I hope the remake makes my “travel the world for only $30″ dream come true. To add to the ball-tossin’ fun, the remake will now let you throw out some kicks and punches at the competition. Oh, let’s also not forget the 8-player Battle Royale death match mode that is sure to start a few riots on the playing field. Extreme!
Like Arkanoid, no release date has been set in the US. Yet. On the note, am I the only one who finds it funny how Super Dodge Ball was a few years ahead of the whole SNES “Super” game naming craze? Probably.
