The Tanooki’s Daily Recap - July 31, 2007
Alright. Since we haven’t gotten around to officially adding someone to our team here at The Tanooki to take care of the bulk news while I’m gone, I’ll be around during certain hours of the day through Thursday. Matt and I have begun to read through your applications, and will likely make announcements by the end of Thursday (I will be completely computer-less from Friday until next Wednesday) as to who will be joining the team immediately, as well as contact those who we want to keep trying to improve because we see potential in you. You can still apply to write for The Tanooki here.
In other news, it started out an exciting night in baseball for at least two of us here at The Tanooki. I watched the Cubs win yet again while Matt was eagerly awaiting for Hark Aaron’s home run record to be tied. Unfortunately, the Brewers also won to hold the Cubs at a game back for one more day, and Bonds left the game before he could fulfill Matt’s hopes and dreams. Oh well, maybe tomorrow.

A Cubs banner?
Shame.
a bonds fan eh? i’m not sure what to make of him.. i figure he used steroids but its not like the roids made him a great player in the first place. so i guess when he breaks the record i will be confused as to what i should think..
i dont think he deserves the record with steroids contributing to many of those homeruns.
Hey Christian, could you please tell your beloved Cubs to do something about those darn “bullpens”? Seeing poor Michael Bourn fall all over himself like he did on Monday was so painful that it made my ankles hurt.
I have a better idea, just move the Cubs out of Lakeview and knock down Wrigley Field.
It’s a serious hassle to live around- and it’s not even that great of a stadium to see a game in.
And for the record, Bonds sucks, but I still want to see the record broken while watching live. More on that when it happens :D
