There are many reasons to add a Gold/Silver remake and the main reason is that the batteries in the old Game Boy cartridges are dying. The only Johto Gym Leader visiting Sinnoh is Jasmine. And that's one of the many clues hinting out to a GS remake. There's also been some hidden data too.
