Nintendo peripherals used in prison tattoo guns

070728tgsdentist.jpgHow’s this for a weekend topic. Apparently, United States correctional officers at maximum security prisons have grown to hate the Nintendo 64, but PlayStations are okay. It’s not what you think, though.

While inmates would occasionally save up for game consoles with money they earn in prison to have and enjoy to pass the time, they get a little something extra with the N64. The Nintendo 64 Rumble Pak has proven popular among criminals, who are able to take out the rumble motor, attach them to a pen and needle, and put together their own homemade tattoo guns. The motor makes the needle go up and down, and all that’s needed is to dip the needle in ink.

It’s certainly a creative use of the old N64 peripheral. Kids, don’t try this at home.
