Frank Gibeau, head of EA Games, seemingly inadvertently revealed that The Godfather 2 was in development. Gibeau took a question at an EA shareholders meeting regarding their handling of mature and edgy titles, in comparison to companies like Disney using various labels like Miramax for different types of movies. Gibeau answered with the following:
“The appeal of those types of games is growing as the demographics start to open up for that older demographic. We make products like Godfather 2, Army Of Two, Crysis – a lot of products that appeal to that older customer.”
No release date was set, and no focus was placed on the mentioning of The Godfather 2.
