You think NASA thought of something like this?
YouTuber kingjamez80 has set up his Orion Atlas EQ-G telescope mount to be controlled by the tilt of a Wii remote. Using a simple script from WiiLi.org, this guy can control the right ascension and declination of his telescope by rotating the Wii remote along its axes. As long as it turns out to be practical, it definitely could be useful.
I don’t have one of those remote controlled telescopes – I’ve got the old Meade telescope where you have to manually turn the knobs. I’d definitely be up for some tilt-control if my telescope were capable. Now if you’ll excuse me, I think my nerdiness is showing.
