Comic-Con has begun this year at the San Diego Convention Center, but it looks like Nintendo is nowhere to be found. Fans may have been hoping the convention would be on Nintendo’s list of stops for this year, especially since it’s heavy hitters on the Wii still need big time promotion and hype (at least, officially). Unfortunately, Nintendo will not be attending the nerd fest, despite nearly every other game publisher already choosing to show of their latest Wii and DS games at the convention.
Nintendo did in fact have some presence at Comic-Con last year, and attendees got a taste of Pokémon Diamond, Pokémon Pearl, Elite Beat Agents, and more. We expect to hear from the company next at Leipzig and PAX, both in mid/late August.
