Remember when some people wrote Wii Sports off as a simple tech demo that should only entertain players for a few hours at most? More than eight months and several popular tournaments later, Wii Sports is still knocking those home runs out of the park. Further proof of this will be seen in a few months when a new Wii Bowling league hits New York City, brought to you by the creator of Wiimbledon.
How exactly will a New York City sized Wii Bowling league work? The official site, wiibowlny.com, has yet to go live, but creator Steve Bryant has a few ideas:
We expect it to be like a corporate softball league — weekly games, three-person teams, played at various bars around the city. Probably start in September once everybody’s back from vacation.
So who’s up for a Chicago based Wii tournament event? Good idea, we’ll get the ball rolling on this one folks!
