Vispi Bhopti, Nintendo’s PR and online coordinator, has revealed that he will be leaving his position at Nintendo to join Sega in helping to reestablish the company’s presence in Australia. Sega has not had a significant place in the country since selling their Australian subsidiary in 1998, which is now under the control of Atari. Sega titles have since been published by THQ in Australia.
An official announcement on Bhopti’s departure and the creation of Sega Australia should come in the next few weeks.
