The Tanooki’s Daily Recap – July 18, 2007

You can put it on the boaaarrrd… yes! Another beautiful summer day has been squared away for The Tanooki. By beautiful, I mean it has been cloudy for most of the day and then at around 6pm, the sky opened up. Not only has it been raining cats and dogs ever since, but I could swear that I’ve seen some iguanas, chipmunks and even a few bumble bees. Ok, so I’m just really excited about Super Mario Galaxy, so just pardon that awful joke.

It’s been a pretty good day on the news front today also. We had our first look at Mario’s mysterious mistress, Rosetta, and Rockstar decided to try to make up for all the Manhunt madness by bringing Table Tennis to the Wii. Oh, and we also feasted our eyes on the wonderfully Americanized box art for Phantom Hourglass. By wonderful I mean, why doesn’t it look as cool as the Japanese box art.

Last and least, The Tanooki Show (podcast) will be returning this Friday. Well, assuming our microphone doesn’t explode on us or something. I really enjoyed making the show last week and I hope it was fun to listen to. If not, then tell us why! Oh, and we will be putting together a submission form for you to send us all sorts of crazy questions to answer on the show. Until then, we hope you are enjoying the Midwest’s mini monsoon.
