Mario Party 8 comes in 5th in the UK despite recall
Someone didn’t get the memo. Apparently, enough copies of Mario Party 8 were sold in the UK last week to earn the title fifth place in game software sales. The game was supposed to be recalled before any copies were sold, as the game had already reached retailers. You can see the overall UK sales chart below.
- Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix (Multi)
- More Brain Training From Dr Kawashima (DS)
- Shrek The Third (Multi)
- Wii Play (Wii)
- Mario Party 8 (Wii)
- Dr Kawashima’s Brain Training (Wii)
- Pirates of the Caribbean: At World’s End (Multi)
- The Darkness (360)
- Cooking Mama (Wii, DS)
- Forza Motorsport 2 (360)
In addition to being fifth overall, Mario Party 8 came in at #2 in sales of Wii games. Makes you wonder if it was just that popular that so many people would pick it up before it could be taken off the market, or if stores just decided to ignore the recall.
