Harrison, Kaplan, Llewelyn currently still with NOA

In speaking with Kotaku’s Brian Crecente, Nintendo of America’s Senior Director of Corporate Communications, Beth Llewelyn, revealed a little bit of information regarding the company’s partial relocation to San Francisco and New York. Llewelyn, George Harrison, and Perrin Kaplan were all rumored to be leaving Nintendo of America this year, as a result of choosing not to move with the company.

According to Llewelyn, they’re still “working things out” over at NOA. Hopefully, this means that Nintendo recognizes the value of these three executives and will find a way to keep them a part of the Nintendo family. It’s not inconceivable (though unpractical) that they could work with their divisions remotely by staying in Redmond, and it’s possible that they could be given new positions. I do seem to recall that Perrin Kaplan would find something else to do within Nintendo if she were to be affected by the move.

All three executives were at E3 this past week, and hopefully we’ll hear more positive news on the situation soon.
