Siliconera’s Spencer was at E3 this past week, and asked a few key questions about WiiFit‘s Balance Board. The first bit of information was that the wireless board currently uses 4 AA batteries for power. The Nintendo rep on hand couldn’t give a clear answer as to the device’s battery life, but keep in mind that unlike the Wii remote, the Wii Balance Board will be transmitting information to the Wii console wirelessly and non-stop.
In addition, the rep confirmed that Nintendo would be looking to use the peripheral in other games. We already knew third parties were thinking of using the device, but it’s good to know that Nintendo is already thinking about the possibilities internally.
Labyrinth, anyone?
