Just when you thought you’d be able to get your hands on Mario Party 8 in London, it looks like Nintendo has taken  the game back. All copies of Mario Party 8 in the UK have been recalled.

The reason for the recall stems from an assembly error, in which the wrong version of the game was apparently sent out to stores for retail. This version contains the word “spastic” in the game, left from the North American version of the game where the word is inoffensive. In the UK, however, the word is a politically incorrect term for an inept person.

Mario Party 8’s UK release has been delayed to a TBA date.
