SEGA has released the first official trailer for the upcoming Wii game, NiGHTS: Journey of Dreams. With a trailer that truly makes the game feel magical, you’ll be itching to play this game when it comes out this fall!
That narrator sounds familiar. I’ve heard a similar voice in movie trailers before… anyone recognize his voice, or who he sounds like? It’s going to bug me all day if I don’t figure it out.

I was sure for a second while watching that trailer that Disney was making a NiGHTS film, classic narrator voice. The game itself looks very nice. I never played the first NiGHTS game but I’ve heard a lot about it and this sequel seems to capture the whole “feeling of flying” thing. Hopefully the lack of decent textures and music is because Sonic Team first focused on making the game feel like it’s predecessor and is now going to start improving the graphics and music.
I know Don LaFontaine does a lot of trailer voice overs, but are you sure it’s him in this one? I could swear his voice was deeper.
I think this is the extremely talented Jim Cummings. Voice of Pete (Mickey Mouse’s rival), Winnie the Pooh, Darkwing Duck etc.
I thought Pete was Goofy’s rival? Oh well.
I know Jim Cummings also did Robotnik on Sonic the Hedgehog (SatAM). That reminds me, I need a cartoon for the weekend…
Maybe I’ve been playing too much Kingdom Hearts.
