Let’s Rock! Guilty Gear XX Accent Core coming to Wii this fall

Published by matthew at 2:02 pm

Pfft- who needs Virtua Fighter and Tekken when you have Mortal Kombat and Guilty Gear on your system?! Whether that was sarcasm or not is up for debate, but either way, Guilty Gear coming to the Wii is a good thing. A very good thing.

Those familiar with the series will notice a few changes in Guilty Gear XX Accent Core, such as 2 new fighters (A.B.A and Order-Sol), new offensive and defensive capabilities (Force Break, Throw Escape and Slash Back), re-recorded character voices, and the inevitable update of backgrounds and character animations. Since this is the Wii, Aksys Games will throw in some motion controls with the Wii remote and nunchuck, but the combo-heavy fighting system is sure to send players sprinting for the classic controller.

For the many people who have yet to try out the Guilty Gear series, I highly recommend giving this game a shot. It’s certainly one of the best fighters out there and it might be a refreshing break in between rounds of Brawl this fall.

Awesome Guilty Gear video and press release after break!
