A new family-friendly action puzzle game is headed to the Wii from Epicenter Studios. Real Heroes: Firefighter puts players into the position of a young fighter newly assigned to a big city fire station. Players will get a chance to experience similar scenarios and challenges that firefighters face in real life, in addition to having to improvise and decide actions on a case-by-case basis and in a timely manner.
You’ll be able to use the Wii remote as a water hose or an axe when necessary during your duties, and even as Jaws of Life for car-related emergencies. The studio is also employing what they call “Thinking Fire” technology to simulate the dangers of a changing environment during a fire emergency. Expect to see collapsing structures and weakening supports and floors limiting your opinions as you go through game, testing your ability to adapt quickly to any situation.
Initial development funding has been locked down and the game is being targeted for a holiday 2008 release.
