Majesco Entertainment and developer Torus Games are set to bring Zoo Hospital, a new animal care-taking game, to the Nintendo DS. In it, you serve as an intern at a world-class zoo and start out by trying to diagnose various animals with medial problems before going in to treat them and/or fix the problem. You’ll start the game by looking at ten animals such as chimps, pandas, lions, eagles, and cobras, but eventually you’ll move on to over 40 different species of animals ranging from bird to mammals and more.
In a Trauma Center-like fashion, you’ll treat your patients through injections, surgery, bandages, and x-ray, making sure to keep a watchful eye on their vital stats and keeping your animal friends worry-free. All this will be done intuitively using the Nintendo DS touch screen.
No word on when the game will see its release, but it sounds like a decent title that could appeal to not only animal-lovers, but to wildlife protection activists as a way to promote the care of animals.
