Wow, it seems that the days of cheesy looking guitar peripherals have gone the way of the Virtual Boy. This is one sexy baby that further instills Rock Band as the Grey Poupon of music games, while Guitar Hero sits back and becomes the cheap yellow mustard, albeit a pricey yellow mustard. I like mustard though, so I will be forced to pick up both titles.
So why the bottom fret buttons? Those will apparently be used during special solos for only hammer-ons and pull-offs. In other words, no strumming required. Another cool feature- the 5-way switch will be used to switch between different effects purchased through the in-game store.
Sounds great, but according to Gamestop, the guitar will set you back $80 for the 360 version and the entire bundle will be $200. That’s almost a Wii. Speaking of the Wii, the game hasn’t been officially announced for the system, but it seems very likely. After all, it is the Wii we are talking about.
So now that both guitars are available for viewing, which one tickels your fancy the most- the Rock Band Strat or the Guitar Hero Les Paul?
