Guitar Hero III Pricing

gh3.jpg

Apparently, GameStop has Guitar Hero III up for preorder, but with some pretty ridiculous prices. The PS2, PS3, and 360 versions will cost a cool $99.99.

The good news (and I use this term loosely)?

The Wii version is only listed at $89.99. Why is the Wii version cheaper? My guess is that the guitar peripheral utilizes the Wiimote within the design (wireless and motion sensing), which most likely cuts down on the cost of each Wii guitar. Either way, call me cheap, but forking over $90 for my yearly fix of Guitar Hero is getting to be quite bothersome. Add Rock Band into the mix, and you have yourself quite the poor gamer this year- and that’s only for the music games! Eh, who am I kidding? You know I am totally going to buy both games…

@Hooya- I would agree with the game price point theory, but with the PS2 version also costing $99.99, it seems more likely that the $10 price cut on the Wii is a result of the actual guitar hardware.

when is this being released for the wii

Its $90 because its coming with a wireless guitar. So its $10 more than Guitar Hero II (360)

Any word on how much just an extra guitar will cost? 2 Player action is way more fun.

Also, I think that the Wii price is cheaper because the game price point for Wii is less than the other systems (except maybe PS2....)
