For a handheld released in 2004, the Nintendo DS is predicted to live a long life. Analyst firm Screen Digest is predicting that the Nintendo DS will have a worldwide userbase of 112 million, compared to a predicted 67 million for the PSP. Screen Digest also expects the DS to be in 89% of Japanese homes. This is of course based on current info, and Nintendo has confirmed that the DS has sold through at least 41 million units as of the end of May.

Head on over for the rest of the predictions, as well as some current stats (such as 54% of European DS owners being female and 52% of European DS owners being under 14).
