Gaming Target has compiled a list of all games exclusive to either the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, or the Wii. Understandably, the 360 has the most with 91 exclusive games either released or on the way, and the PlayStation 3, released a year later, has 44 – less than half that of the 360.
The surprise here is that the Wii has 76 exclusives either available or in the pipeline, and with less than 7 months under its belt. This could be because the Wii has a control scheme that demands exclusive attention, simply a huge potential userbase, a lower game development cost, or a combination of all of these factors. At this rate, the number of exclusives for the Wii should eclipse that of its biggest competition in roughly three to four months.
E3 should be interesting.
