When I was in kindergarten and first grade, I went to school where we had Disney characters painted on the walls. Or Sesame Street. I don’t remember, and apparently neither does anyone else my age who went to that school. None of us really noticed it, I guess.
A primary school in Amsterdam commissioned Arno Coenen to create the wall mosaic you see below. While I can’t say whether or not the kids will really notice it and remember it 15 or 20 years from now, I can say it looks pretty darn awesome.
