GWN believes that the Wii remote bears a striking resemblance to a prototype Dreamcast controller. It’s a vertical design, but still requires two hands to hold. The prototype does, though, have infrared functionality, a similar button layout on top of the controller, and a trigger underneath. Could there be a connection? Or even, could some of the same people have worked on both?
