Wiiitis detailed in The New England Journal of Medicine

We get these periodicals all the time at my house. But according to WebMD, the most recent issue of The New England Journal of Medicine talks about the first documented case of Wiiitis. A 29-year old man from Spain, who was not consistently physically active, recently obtained the new Wii console and its bundled copy of Wii Sports. He had been playing tennis for several hours and woke up the following morning with intense pain in his arm.

Since you’re not running around to hit an actual ball or exerting the strength necessary to return the ball over a net, you have to be careful. Your body isn’t necessarily going to tell you that it’s tired after playing several hours of Wii Sports. Why not take a break?
