Comedians on the Japanese show Shuukan Oriraji Keizai Hakushou recently attempted their own scavenger hunt to try and track down and purchase one of every single Famicom game in existence. They searched out various stores and shops in Japan, and scoured the internet and online Japanese auction sites. Of the 1051 games in total, they were able to gather together 1043 of them, which is a pretty good percentage when you’re dealing with over a thousand.
The team ended up spending over 1.3 million yen, ¥1,350,261 to be exact, which comes out to $11,095 USD. I wish I had that much to spend for fun. Maybe if I was actually given $1200 for every PS3 I saw in store, I would! Check out the video clip from the show below, and see what 1043 Famicom games looks like!
