Here’s one promotion that’s sure to reach a ton of viewers. Nintendo has officially created a MySpace profile for the Wii which, although just announced today, already has nearly 3,000 friends as of this post.

I haven’t really used MySpace much in the last year or so anymore… I got a lot of spam in my profile inbox and nothing but chain messages on my bulletin board, so I’ve since made the exclusive jump to Facebook. But I keep my MySpace around just for kicks. Maybe I’ll add the Wii as a friend!

In addition, I’m going to go ahead and plug Matt and my Nintendo Wii, Nintendo DS, and The Tanooki groups on Facebook, the first two of which were what prompted the launch of this news blog and which are still the largest groups on Facebook for their respective systems.
