Ear Age? Not quite, but it’s a new hearing game

Milestone, makers of Radio Allergy, is releasing a new type of training game in Japan. DS Chounoryoku aims to test your frequency hearing range and improve your hearing and listening ability. Distinguish between different types of sounds and words. Certain aurally pleasing musical selections are also included to help you relax.

Granted, we’ll probably never see this type of game in the U.S. for the DS unless Nintendo makes one of their own, but it shows these non-games have no limits. Could olfactory-based games be next? It might be closer than you think!

Althought it might be more difficult for Americans to do a Japanese version of this game, remember that the DS is not region locked, so you can play this on any DS, you just have to order it from Japan and import. Or on a flashcart if you have one.

I think I need to play this game, seeing that my listening skills aren’t quite up to snuff. EXAMPLE!
