Japanese hardware sales, May 14-20
Drops all around this week, with the exception of the two less popular Game Boy Advance models. I guess their post-Golden week timeframe is the equivalent of post-Christmas everywhere else. If Reggie’s speech at this week’s Media Summit was any indication, though, Nintendo’s going to be working on keeping consistently high sales in the future, regardless of post-holiday slowdown. This week’s Japanese sales are listed below, with the change from the previous week in parenthesis.
- DSL: 111,213 (-52,572)
- Wii: 52,193 (-351)
- PSP: 27,505 (-6,928)
- PS2: 10,881 (-4,934)
- PS3: 8,659 (-180)
- Xbox360: 2,026 (-79)
- GBM: 428 (+20)
- GBASP: 330 (-13)
- GC: 276 (-39)
- GBA: 33 (+15)
