Phantom Hourglass shows up on Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection

But who’s playing it?

Apparently the month of May has seen a sharp increase in the number of people playing The Legend of Zelda: Phantom Hourglass over Nintendo’s online network. The game doesn’t release in Japan until June 23 and in the States until this Holiday season. It could be a bunch of Nintendo employees testing it out, playing it for fun, Japanese reviewers getting a chance to try it out, or a combination of the three.

While short of the several hundred thousand connections a week that games like Pokémon are getting, Phantom Hourglass managed 148 connections on May 2nd, with a few more peaks and consistent numbers the following week. Awfully high for even just a testing period. Who’s playing it? More importantly, how can I get in on that?
