Brain Age 2 on its way to the US and UK

GameStop is listing Brain Age 2 for release this year in the US, and while Nintendo of America has yet to officially announce it, Nintendo UK didn’t hesitate to share the details. The game will launch in Europe as More Brain Training for €30 (£19.99 UK) on 29 June, 2007, nearly a year and a half after Touhoku Daigaku Mirai Kagaku Gijutsu Kyoudou Kenkyuu Center Kawashima Ryuuta Kyouju Kanshuu: Motto Nou wo Kitaeru Otona no DS Training launched in Japan as the sequel to the original.

New Brain Age checks include Rock, Paper, Scissors, which will display one of the three and ask you to choose the symbol to win as fast as you can, Memorizing 5×5, where you memorize a square of 25 numbers and regurgitate them, and Speedy Symbols, which tests your memorization of symbols and numbers.

Among the new training exercises are Correct Change, testing your ability to work out financial transactions with coins at the counter, Missing Symbols, which is similar to the 20 Calculations test with the exception that it might not be the final answer that’s being asked of you, and my new favorite: Masterpiece Recital, an exercise displaying piano sheet music on the right and asking you to play the notes on a digital piano/keyboard on the right.

I’m sure we’ll hear from Nintendo of America on the game’s release soon, so check back often!
