You know, I’ve never really been huge on Final Fantasy games, probably because even though I had an Atari 2600 and multiple NES systems for as long as I can remember, I didn’t really get into gaming until later in the N64 years. By then I was sticking to Nintendo, and Final Fantasy games had already migrated to Sony systems.
All this recent hype for Final Fantasy games on Nintendo again, though, seems to be catching my interest. Crystal Chronicles for GameCube, then the DS and Wii… You’ve also got your FF I & II: Dawn of Souls, FFIV, FFV, FFVI, and Tactics Advance on the Game Boy Advance. More recently, the DS has gotten a FFIII remake, Chocobo Tales, and will be getting Tactics A2 and a FFIV remake. I’ve recently played through the first disc of FFVII and now own a copy of FFIII for the DS… maybe it’s time I start taking an interest in the series.
