In addition to being responsible for 82% of all hardware sales, Nintendo is seeing successful game sales for its Nintendo DS platform. DS titles from Nintendo and third party publishers took the top 19 spots straight for the week ending April 29.
That week also saw the DS Lite model surpass 10 million sales in Japan since its launch early last year. The DS Lite surpassed this milestone in Japan in less than half the time it took the PS2 to reach the same mark. This brings the DS total (Phat and Lite) in Japan to 16,913,437, leaving the Game Boy Advance total in the dust at 16,682,376.
