Well this is interesting. In a study by the NPD group, it turns out that Wii owners are the most likely to be online gamers, at a roughly 76% rate. Xbox 360 and PS3 owners were closer to the 70% mark. Of course, this doesn’t really mean those Wii owners are getting their online quota through the Wii. No, the Wii isn’t even online yet. And while the Wii’s online play support in the immediate future is seemingly weak, the potential is there if Nintendo wants to take advantage of this apparent correlation.
