Although this speed run has been around for quite a while, I feel like dedicating this excellent video to my roommates. A few days ago, they rediscovered the magic of Super Mario World and Super Mario Bros. 3 and have spent more time playing both games in the past two days than they have sleeping or doing work. Call me old fashioned, but I absolutely love to watch people get nostalgic about video games.
Case in point: Beeks and myself were at breakfast one morning and the waitress noticed my frog suit shirt. While we are fairly certain that she hasn’t touched a controller in years, the shirt turned on that small geek portion of her brain and we were quickly bombarded with “Oh my god I loved that game!” and “So how does that underwater song go again?” Before we knew it, what started as a normal breakfast quickly turned into a swift sing along of the swimming theme from Super Mario Bros. (yes, even if the frog suit is from SMB3, but who were we to be picky at the time).
