Who doesn’t love a good Triforce sighting? I sure as hell don’t, and tonight I have not one, not two, but three different photos. Our first sighting comes in glorious, yet subtle, lamp form.
The next two sightings have graciously flown all the way from Japan for our viewing enjoyment. The first photo is from one of the many Buddhist temples in Japan. I believe that this temple is located just outside of Tokyo in the city of Chichibu, which probably means nothing to 98% of everyone, but it’s a good bit of Buddhist trivia to impress your friends with…
While we are on the subject of impressing friends with a vast array of knowledge, let’s all take a glance at the lantern below. The Triforce on the lantern (which is most likely also related to the above photo) is actually the family crest of the Hojo family, who ruled Japan around the 11th century during the Kamakura period. Each of the triangles represent dragon scales, which are a symbol of the Hojo family’s strength.
Dragon scales?! Amazing.
Excuse me as I run away to Japan for a while. While I am there, I’ll be sure to pick up the clock. You know, the clock.
