I’m well aware of the game Spectrobes. I’ve seen enough special segments on TV starring Jason Dolley and them basically advertising the game at a Disney theme park. The game wasn’t a game from Disney Interactive based on existing Disney properties. Instead, it was built from the ground up as an entirely original game – a new direction for Disney. It seems the gamble paid off as the game has sold over 700,000 copies worldwide since its release only some weeks ago.
Craig Relyea of Disney Interactive says that Disney is now looking to let the Spectrobes franchise grow. Could we be seeing a sequel? Maybe a Disney Channel cartoon? A movie? A Disney World ride??
