The House That Nintendo Built

On a rare occasion, a photo will fly onto my desktop that completely blows my mind with its awesomeness. Today I bring to you some sort of Nintendo inspired fun house. The attention to detail is beyond great, I mean hell, the games have the freakin’ Official Nintendo Seal on the labels. Indulge after the break.

UPDATE: The good people over at Destructoid did a bit of snooping and have determined that the creators are from the Carnegie Mellon University chapter of Sigma Phi Epsilon… And in one fell swoop, my severe disdain for frats has been taken down a few notches.

the nintendo funhouse (it's called a booth here at Carnegie Mellon and it's for a competition against other booths) features small games inside it with small prizes. it's all at our carnival on campus in pittsburgh, PA.

Actually, back when the NES crapped out and sucked at playing games, inserting a cartridge upside down on top of the actual cartridge in the system to hold it in place was another feeble method (blowing was overrated) at getting a game to work.

This might explain why the upside down cartidge is sticking out so far... that, and with the cartridge in that position, it allows the visitors to see the sticker on the cartridge, which is my biggest gripe. The cartridge design is clearly for Zelda, yet its named "Super Sigep Bros." I believe that "The Legend of Random Frat House" would have been a much better title choice.

Looks sweet! Although with all the attention to detail that they put into it, the cartridge in the NES is upside down. Originally I gave them 4 stars, but had to deduct 1 star for the error. Total 3 stars.
(No clue why I just invented a rating system, but I did...)
