For those of you familiar with Broadway musicals, good for you. I was actually discussing songs from Guys and Dolls with my neighbor yesterday at breakfast. Follow the Fold!

Regardless of whether or not you follow musicals, though, you’ve probably heard of Andrew Lloyd Webber’s Phantom of the Opera. The starring role of Christine Daae was specifically written for and originally played by Webber’s now-ex-wife, Sarah Brightman. She has since retired from Broadway and pursued a music career.

Brightman recently recorded “Be With You: Itsumo Soba ni (Always By Your Side)” to be released as a single this July 11. In addition to being included on her next album, the song will be a part of the soundtrack to the tenth and upcoming Pokémon movie, Pokémon Diamond & Pearl: Dialga vs. Palkia vs. Darkrai, opening in Japanese theaters on July 14.
