Guitar Hero III- High Class and Wireless

After my heavy amount of recent Guitar Hero II binges, any Guitar Heroesque news tickles my fancy in far too many ways. Thankfully, GameSpot recently sat down with RedOctane’s Kai Huang to get the skinny on the newest Guitar Hero offering hitting the Wii this fall. The inevitable use of a wireless controller was confirmed, but what makes me truly excited are the possibilities of these new guitars:

What we’re doing with the guitars is there’ll be a new shape and there’ll be new colours. And what we’re also looking at in addition to all those features is creating some more interesting guitars that are higher end, and some of them will be made out of wood, and so they’ll actually feel like a real guitar.

I’m all about trying out some new guitars. After spending a few hours with the 360’s x-plorer guitar, I absolutely loved some of the improvements (frets felt more solid, the neck appeared to be slightly smaller for easier movement, or maybe I just play way too much Guitar Hero…), so I am quite excited to see what RedOctane will come up with for the new wireless controller. Come on Frankenstrat…
