No voice chat in Phantom Hourglass

This isn’t a surprise. It was reported yesterday that a magazine translation might possibly have revealed voice chat features for The Legend of Zelda: Phantom Hourglass. Realizing that voice chat in a Zelda game made no sense whatsoever, The Hylia had someone better versed in Japanese take a shot a the translation. You can read the translation at the link below, but basically the point is there’s no information at all regarding voice chat. Here’s what their translator had to say about Zelda Universe’s original translation:

“I’ve read the whole article and it doesn’t mention anything about chat. I think someone misunderstood the ‘tsuushin’ part in the purple rectangle, which literally means communication or correspondence, but in this case it means ‘by,’ or ‘via.’”

Looks like you’ll have to pick up Metroid or Pokémon for your DS chatting fix.
