Nintendo will soon add another non-game to its line-up, in the form of Miru Chikara wo Jissen de Kitearu: DS Ganriki Training (translated by IGN DS as Strengthen Your Visual Power through Practice: DS Visual Training), an eye-training game for the Nintendo. Through five exercises involving quickly covered objects, field of vision, and hand-eye coordination, players will be able to exercise their eyes much in the way Brain Age exercises, well, your brain. There will also be sports-themed eye training exercises, and of course we’ll be getting some sort of eye “age check.”

Eye-training is actually a big thing in Japan, and the makers represent playing this new game for a few minutes every day to “drill” your eyes. With expected popularity, the game will retail in Japan for just about a full DS game price when it releases at the end of May.
