A new 2D shooter game for the Nintendo DS, Glory Days 2, will come bundled with special glasses to make the game appear to be in 3D. The company hopes that giving the game a feeling of depth will make the shooter more immersive.
This reminds me of my NES game, Rad Racer. It came with those old red/blue glasses that made your car look as if it stood out from the track. Unlike Rad Racer, however, Glory Days 2 won’t be in red and blue. Instead, one filter will be darker than the other, causing a delay in the image reaching your eye and causing an optical illusion of 3D.
