Resident Evil info and confirmations around

The latest Famitsu talks about two upcoming games from Capcom. First up, Resident Evil: Umbrella Chronicles. The game’s story will encompass the stories of Chris, Jill, Rebecca, Billy, and Wesker and how they tie in to the destruction of the Umbrella Corporation. The game will feature a first-person perspective, for the gun-shooting at least, so hopefully Capcom can pull off an aiming system that will set a standard on the Wii.

Resident Evil 4 has also been confirmed for the Wii. Motion controls, such as knife-attacks, will make use of the Wii remote, and the pointer function should serve for aiming your guns. The game will best both the PS2 and GameCube versions, having all the bonuses on the PS2 release, more characters on screen, and like the GameCube version, the game will be able to handle real-time cutscenes. If for any reason you don’t like the Wii remote controls, but would still like to enjoy the added bonuses over the previous releases, you can choose to play the game with the Classic Controller.
